A proven Class 7 competitor with extensive SCORE desert racing experience, Eric Hardin has established himself as a formidable force in off-road racing's premier series. Co-driving the #709 Honda Ridgeline alongside Jeff Proctor and legendary motorcycle champion Johnny Campbell, Hardin secured a hard-fought second place finish in the 2017 BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000, completing the grueling 1,000-mile course in 32:09:23.
The Orange, California native's Baja 1000 debut showcased his ability to handle the race's notorious challenges, including deep silt sections and mechanical obstacles that claimed numerous competitors. Working through heavy traffic from the start in Ensenada, the team maintained their composure despite a driveshaft failure in deep sand that cost valuable time. Their persistence paid off as they crossed the finish line among only six finishers from eleven Class 7 starters.
Hardin's racing resume also includes Class 7S victories, demonstrating his versatility across different mini-truck categories. His experience spans multiple decades of SCORE competition, with documented participation in both the Baja 1000 and Baja 500 series. Known for his mechanical knowledge and strategic racing approach, Hardin continues to be a respected competitor in the challenging world of Baja desert racing.
