Temecula, CA - #BC1
Following his championship victory in the prestigious SCORE Baja 1000 Baja Challenge class in 2021, John Williams has established himself as one of desert racing's most formidable competitors. His conquest of the legendary peninsula race showcased the skill and determination that defines elite SCORE competition.
Williams' reputation reached new heights when he was selected as one of the factory drivers for Ford Performance's official F-150 Raptor entry in the 2023 SCORE Baja 1000. Sharing driving duties with Ultra4 Racing champions Loren Healy and Jason Scherer, Williams tackled the historic 1,310-mile reverse course from La Paz to Ensenada—one of the most brutal races in SCORE history where only half the Trophy Truck field survived to the finish.
Operating from his Temecula, California base, Williams represents the technical precision and relentless commitment required for SCORE's premier desert racing series. His involvement with Ford Performance's official racing program demonstrates his elite status within the off-road community, where manufacturers seek proven champions to develop and showcase their vehicles against Baja's unforgiving terrain. Williams continues to push the boundaries of desert racing excellence across SCORE's legendary championship series.
The SCORE Baja Challenge Class once again had all of the class starters finish the course. On top were the BC1 car with John Williams, Brian Finch, Kyle Tucker, Lance Clifford, and Brad Lovell as co-drivers. “It was a super tough race at 1,227 miles,” said Clifford at the finish line. Read More
