Temecula, CA - #742F
David Cole has established himself as a formidable force in SCORE desert racing's most challenging divisions, earning recognition through consistent podium performances in the grueling Baja 1000. The Temecula-based racer captured the Class 7F championship at the legendary SCORE Baja 1000 in 2019, demonstrating his ability to conquer one of motorsport's most demanding endurance tests across the Baja peninsula.
Cole's expertise truly shines in the ultra-competitive Hammer Truck Unlimited class, where he has twice reached the podium at the prestigious Baja 1000. His impressive second-place finish in 2017 showcased his tenacity and skill, battling through 1,100 miles of punishing desert terrain in his TrentFab-Chevy alongside co-drivers Andre McLaughlin, J.T. Taylor, Derek Baker, and Lee O'Donnell. Reflecting on that achievement, Cole emphasized the unique challenges of desert racing: "We just drove 1,100 miles through Baja so how could it be any better? The silt wasn't bad because we have four-wheel drive so we went right through it."
His technical knowledge and adaptability under pressure have proven invaluable, successfully navigating mechanical challenges and utilizing his four-wheel-drive advantage to pass competitors in treacherous silt sections that challenge even the most experienced desert racers.
