Biography

At just 24 years old, this Imperial Valley native has already established himself as one of SCORE's most formidable competitors, capturing multiple Baja 500 class championships in Class 1 with victories spanning 2021, 2018, and 2017. His racing prowess extends beyond single-class dominance, demonstrated by his overall victories at the 2018 Lucerna SCORE Desert Challenge and 2017 SCORE Tijuana Desert Challenge Final, both competing in Class 10.

What sets Dickerson apart is his incredible versatility and ironman mentality. At just 17 years old, he made headlines by driving the entire Baja 500 solo, starting in 11th position and methodically passing seasoned competitors including previous SCORE winners Chase Warren and Cody Reid. This remarkable performance showcased the driving skills that would define his career.

His championship credentials are equally impressive, having secured back-to-back Class 10 season championships while consistently finishing on podiums at SCORE's most prestigious events. The 2022 Baja 500 saw him claim second place overall, further cementing his reputation as a threat for outright victories regardless of class competition.

Dickerson's ability to excel across multiple vehicle classes while maintaining his aggressive, strategic racing approach has made him a standout performer in modern SCORE desert racing.

BACK-TO-BACK Class 10 WINS for 16-year old rookie phenom Broc Dickerson and the #1023 - first at the 2017 SCORE San Felipe 250 and now this month at the 49th running of the SCORE Baja 500! Is there anything this kid can't do? Check out the highlights from his win at the 2017 SCORE Baja 500 - this kid can flat our drive! #SCORE #Baja500

DIGGING OUT | July 2021 Issue

The technical and silt-laden course of the BFGoodrich Tires 53rd SCORE Baja 500 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts was slow going for many of the buggy classes. Except for a few that managed to avoid getting stuck in the silt, getting caught in a bottleneck, or hitting a rock that took them out of the race, only about half of the racers in these classes managed to finish the 466-mile course. THE FIRST WIN | July 2021 Issue

Broc Dickerson pulled off more than one "first" at the BFGoodrich Tire's 53rd SCORE Baja 500 Presented by 4 Wheel Parts. It was his first Class 1 win as well as his first SCORE Baja 500 win since he began competing in the class more than a year ago. Dickerson and co-driver Cameron Corfman started fifth, but a group of highly competitive and successful Class 1 competitors were ahead of them, which was a hard hill to climb. "We had some fast guys in front of us and weren’t sure what we were going to be able to do," said Dickerson. "And there wasn’t likely going to be much passing for the first 50 or 60 miles of the race." Read More

A FULL-ON BUGGY THROW-DOWN | May 2021 Issue

It was obvious that during the 34th BFGoodrich Tires SCORE San Felipe 250 Presented by Ford, the next evolution of the Class 1 buggy had now come of age. With these vehicles now utilizing larger 40-inch BFGoodrich tires, more powerful engines, and new drivetrains made to handle the power, vehicles like Reid Racing’s new Aluma Craft left the other 2WD competitors feeling a bit obsolete. Broc Dickerson | November 2020 Issue

It was three years ago when Broc Dickerson came onto the SCORE World Desert Championship series to compete in Class 10. Back then, he was 16, and after winning the SCORE San Felipe 250, the SCORE Baja 500, and the Tijuana SCORE Desert Challenge, he finished eighth at the 50th Anniversary of the SCORE Baja 1000 but still managed to clinch the Championship title in that class. Dickerson continued to place in the top five at most every SCORE race the following two seasons until he jumped into a Class 1 buggy in 2020. It was at the 52nd BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 that Dickerson had the fastest qualifying time to start first at the race, but complications on the vehicle made him finish in fifth place.
