Dominating the 2025 SCORE season with consecutive victories at the BFGoodrich SCORE Baja 500 and King Shocks 38th SCORE San Felipe 250, the 72-year-old Mexicali veteran is making an extraordinary statement in the Trophy Truck Legends class. His remarkable 14th consecutive class win at the 2025 Baja 500, achieved with co-driver Ricky Johnson after securing pole position, demonstrates an unprecedented level of consistency and skill that has redefined desert racing excellence.

This incredible streak builds upon an already legendary career featuring multiple SCORE Baja 1000 and Baja 500 class championships spanning 2022-2024. His crowning achievement came with a third-place overall podium finish at the 2024 SCORE Baja 1000, proving his elite competitiveness extends beyond class victories to challenging the sport's absolute best across all categories.

Competing in the world's most demanding desert races for decades, Vildosola Sr. has established himself as one of SCORE's most respected and accomplished drivers. SCORE International's 2014 Person of the Year Gus Vildosola Sr. first became fascinated with desert racing all the way back in 1968. Over the years, he raced Class 5 bugs, 5/1600, 1/2 1600, Pro-Trucks (he got his first truck from Ivan "Ironman" Stewart), Class 1 unlimited buggies and finally Trophy Trucks. VILDOSOLA’S 14TH STRAIGHT WIN! | June 2025 Issue

Gustavo Vildosola Sr. 72, Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, and Ricky Johnson, 60, El Cajon, California, nailed their 14th consecutive victory in the 2025 SCORE Trophy Truck Legend class. Johnson took the green flag and then handed the wheel to ‘Gus’ Vildosola in the No. 1L Ford Raptor, completing the 461.03-mile race course in 9:19 minutes and 40 seconds, for a top three overall finish among four-wheeled vehicles in the SCORE Baja 500.
