ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico— The McMillin family is one of the most successful families in the world of off-road racing, not only because of its championships and victories in the deserts of Mexico and the United States, but also because of its character and strong family values. That legacy began more than four decades ago with the patriarch of ‘The Big Blue M,’ Macey ‘Corky’ McMillin, alongside his sons Mark McMillin and Scott McMillin. Today, that remarkable story continues through his grandsons Andy McMillin, Dan McMillin, and Luke McMillin.
Andy, Dan, and Luke will all be competing in the third round of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship, the 7th SCORE Baja 400, to be held Sept. 9-13 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
Today, Mark McMillin, father of Dan and Luke McMillin, as well as his brother Scott McMillin and Scott’s son, Andy McMillin, continue to stand alongside the next generation at SCORE International races, helping carry forward “Corky” McMillin’s great dream of strengthening the family’s bond with the people of the Baja California peninsula. That legacy also extends to the members of the McMillin Racing team, which has long been one of the favorite teams among Mexican off-road racing fans.
Ensenada is located 116 kilometers south of the U.S. border crossing at San Diego, on the western side of the Baja California peninsula, with the Pacific Ocean running alongside the city. All four SCORE events in 2026 will be held in Mexico, specifically within the Baja California peninsula, marking the 11th consecutive year this format has taken place.
Founded originally in 1973 in Southern California, the four-race 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship is being held exclusively in Baja California, Mexico, for the 11th consecutive season. SCORE is known globally as the World’s Foremost Desert Racing Organization.
‘THE LUKE’
Luke ‘The Luke’ McMillin is enjoying one of the best stretches of his off-road racing career, currently leading the SCORE Trophy Truck standings in the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship with 224 points following overall victories in the King Shocks 39th SCORE San Felipe 250 in March and the BFGoodrich Tires 58th SCORE Baja 500 in June.
Luke now has eight career victories in SCORE’s premier ‘Desert Monsters’ class, including four wins in the legendary SCORE Baja 1000, one in the SCORE Baja 500, and three in the SCORE San Felipe 250. Those accomplishments have earned him a place on the prestigious list of 12 legendary racers who have captured the SCORE Baja Triple Crown, which encompasses the three iconic SCORE races traditionally held in the northern region of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula.
The exclusive group known as the ‘Baja Dusty Dozen,’ comprised of the 12 SCORE Baja Triple Crown winners, includes Alan Ampudia, David Ashley, Robby Gordon, Rob MacCachren, Andy McMillin, Luke McMillin, Scott McMillin, Bryce Menzies, Larry Ragland, Dan Smith, Ivan Stewart, and Gustavo ‘Tavo’ Vildosola Jr.
Now behind the wheel of the No. 83 McMillin Racing Ford Raptor Mason AWD, Luke McMillin is just one victory away from completing the SCORE Baja Grand Slam, which includes wins in the SCORE Baja 1000, SCORE Baja 500, SCORE San Felipe 250, and SCORE Baja 400. To date, only two racers have accomplished that remarkable feat—Bryce Menzies and Alan Ampudia.
With only a few weeks remaining before the 7th SCORE Baja 400 gets underway in the ‘Cinderella of the Pacific,’ McMillin is focused on taking another significant step toward the 2026 SCORE Trophy Truck championship. He already has three season championships in SCORE’s premier class, earned in 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Another key part of ‘The Luke’ success is Jason Duncan, the regular navigator in the No. 83 Ford Raptor. Duncan brings extensive off-road racing experience and has established himself as one of the top co-drivers in recent years, not only in the SCORE Trophy Truck class but throughout the sport. His mechanical knowledge and ability to serve as McMillin’s second set of eyes across the deserts, beaches, and mountains of Baja California have made him an invaluable part of the team.
DAN
Dan McMillin is the oldest son of SCORE and Baja racing legend Mark McMillin. For 2026, Dan changed his racing plans by joining forces with his friend Bryce Swaim in the Trophy Truck Spec class, sharing the No. 242 TSCO-Chevy Thunder Struck Motorsports/McMillin Racing, following years of success competing in SCORE’s premier “Desert Monsters” class.
McMillin and Swaim finished seventh in the King Shocks 39th SCORE San Felipe 250 in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico, and followed that performance with a third-place finish in the BFGoodrich Tires 58th SCORE Baja 500 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. They currently sit fourth in the Trophy Truck Spec championship standings with 236 points.
The duo is now planning its logistics for the 7th SCORE Baja 400, a race neither driver has been able to win in the past. Now competing as teammates, McMillin and Swaim will be looking to make a strong push into the top three of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship standings, while also keeping their sights on the BFGoodrich Tires 59th SCORE Baja 1000, to be held in November in San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
ANDY
Andy McMillin is an off-road racing specialist and an exceptional talent behind the wheel. As part of Menzies Motorsports in the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship, he has joined forces with Bryce Menzies in the No. 7 Ford Raptor Mason Gen 1. The duo currently sits second in the SCORE Trophy Truck championship standings with 204 points after a pair of third-place finishes in the SCORE San Felipe 250 and SCORE Baja 500.
‘Bebo’ has 12 career SCORE Trophy Truck victories, tying him with Bryce Menzies for second on the all-time wins list. They are nine victories behind the winningest driver in the history of the class, which was created by Sal Fish in 1994, Rob ‘The G.O.A.T.’ MacCachren, who has 21 career wins.
Andy McMillin’s racing résumé is impressive, highlighted by six SCORE Baja 1000 victories, four of them overall, along with four SCORE Baja 500 wins, including three overall victories. His next challenge will be delivering another strong performance in the SCORE Baja 400 in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, behind the wheel of the Menzies Motorsports Ford Raptor Mason Gen 2.
McMillin will use Mexicali racer Gustavo ‘Tavo’ Vildosola Jr.’s No. 21 for qualifying at the SCORE Baja 400, as ‘Tavo’ will miss the third round of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship under doctor’s orders. The Mexican racer plans to return in November for the legendary SCORE Baja 1000, which, for the first time in its history, will be held entirely within the state of Baja California Sur.
THE GREEN FLAG
Desert racers chasing victory at the SCORE Baja 400 will receive the green flag on Saturday, September 12, at 5 a.m. PT. on Ensenada’s iconic Bulevar Costero, while car classes will begin at 10 a.m. PT. in front of hundreds of enthusiastic fans along one of the most popular avenues in the ‘Cinderella of the Pacific.’
The official time limit for teams to be considered official finishers will be 16 hours, as SCORE International celebrates its 53rd season as the world leader in off-road racing, having organized events in Mexico, the United States, and Germany.
TECH INSPECTION
Tech inspection and contingency row of race vehicles by SCORE Tech officials will take place on Friday, September 11, 2026, along Ensenada’s vibrant Bulevar Costero, which will also serve as the start and finish area for the event, located just steps from the Pacific Ocean.
MORE THAN 100 ENTRIES AND COUNTING
With over 180 entries anticipated at the start line, 101 total entries have been received so far for this growing event, with racers representing 21 U.S. States, U.S. Territory Puerto Rico, and 10 countries. The countries with at least one racer so far are United States, host country Mexico, Australia, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, and Scotland.
DOUBLE DIGITS
Leading the list of entries with double-digit lineups so far are SCORE Trophy Truck with 24 entries (including nine in SCORE TT 2WD, and five in SCORE TT Legend), Trophy Truck Spec with 23 entries, Pro UTV Open with 11 entries, and Pro UTV FI (Forced Induction) with 9 entries.
Among 2-wheel vehicles, Sportsman M/C has five entries, and Pro Moto Unlimited has three.
ENTRY DEADLINES
The deadline to enter in time to be included in the SCORE Baja 400 Race Day program and the race program is 5 p.m. PT on Monday August 31.
Starting positions for the classes that aren’t qualifying will be determined by a random drawing after the close of online racer registration.
Late entries may register in person at the SCORE Ensenada office will have until 5 p.m. PT on Friday, September 4. Those late entries, however, will not be included in the start draw.
Late, on-site entries will receive the next starting position within the class entered.

METHOD RACE WHEELS QUALIFYING
In a format inspired by Formula 1 and the NASCAR Series, SCORE will conduct the Method Race Wheels Qualifying session on Thursday, September 10, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. PT, to determine the starting grid in the following classes: SCORE Trophy Truck, SCORE Trophy Truck 2WD, SCORE Trophy Truck Legend, Class 1, and Trophy Truck Spec.
Entries received after Friday, August 28 will be assigned the next available starting positions within each qualifying category. The qualifying order will be determined by SCORE based on the date each team completes its online registration.
The Method Race Wheels Qualifying is a non-spectator event held on a private property course and will be broadcast live across SCORE digital platforms.
POLARIS SCORE CHALLENGE
Polaris Off-Road Vehicles and the RZR Factory Racing team are introducing the Polaris SCORE Challenge, a first-of-its kind incentive program aimed at rewarding participation in SCORE International UTV racing. The initiative offers a $50,000 purse to any UTV racer – regardless of manufacturer – who
defeats the RZR Factory Racing team for the Overall UTV victory at the Baja 400. If the purse goes unclaimed, the challenge will carry over to the Baja 1000, giving competitors another opportunity to claim the prize.
The SCORE Challenge comes as the RZR Factory Racing team has elevated the Pro UTV class into one of the fastest and most competitive categories in desert racing. By putting Brock Heger, Cayden MacCachren, Ethan Groom, Joe Terrana and Rodrigo Ampudia squarely in the crosshairs, the challenge positions RZR Factory Racing as the target for the entire field.

The deadline for online media registration for press covering the 7th SCORE Baja 400 is Friday, September 4, 2026.

Dan McMillin es el hijo mayor de la leyenda de SCORE y Baja, Mark McMillin, quien modificó su plan para este año, al unir fuerzas con su amigo Bryce Swaim en la clase Trophy Truck Spec a bordo del Truck TSCO con motor Chevrolet Número 242 del equipo Thunder Struck Motorsports/McMillin Racing., dejando atrás sus años de éxitos en “Los Monstruos del Desierto”.
McMilin y Swaim finalizaron séptimos en la edición 39 de la King Shocks SCORE San Felipe 250 en San Felipe, Baja California, México, y cerraron en la tercera posición de la edición 58 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 500 en Ensenada, Baja California, México, ocupando la cuarta posición del campeonato en la clase Trophy Truck Spec con 236 puntos.
Ambos están planeando la logística para la edición 7 de la SCORE Baja 400, carrera que ambos no han podido ganar en el pasado, y ahora como compañeros de equipo buscarán meterse de lleno a la pelea por el top 3 del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International, también con miras a la edición 59 de la BFGoodrich Tires SCORE Baja 1000 del 9 al 15 de Noviembre en San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, México.
ANDY
Andy McMillin es un especialista del Off-Road, un fuera de serie al volante, y parte del equipo Menzies Motorsports en el Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International, uniendo fuerzas con Bryce Menzies en el Ford Raptor Mason Número 7 para estar como sublíderes de los SCORE Trophy Trucks con 204 puntos, producto de un par de terceros lugares en la SCORE San Felipe 250 y la SCORE Baja 500.
Con 12 victorias de “Bebo” bajo su cinturón en los SCORE Trophy Trucks, siendo segundo en este departamento al lado de Bryce Menzies, a 9 triunfos del más ganador en la historia de la clase creada por Sal Fish en 1994, Rob “Big Mac” MacCachren, quien cuenta con 21 triunfos.

McMillin usará el Número 21 del mexicalense Gustavo “Tavo” Vildósola Junior para poder calificar en la SCORE Baja 400, ya que “Tavo” estará ausente por indicación médica en la tercera fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International, con planes de volver el corredor mexicano en Noviembre durante la legendaria SCORE Baja 1000 que se realizará exclusivamente en el estado de Baja California Sur por primera vez en la historia.
EL BANDERAZO DE SALIDA
Los corredores del desierto que buscarán la victoria en la SCORE Baja 400 recibirán la bandera verde el sábado 12 de septiembre, a las 5 a.m. (hora del Pacífico), sobre el icónico Bulevar Costero de Ensenada, mientras que las clases de automóviles arrancarán a las 10 a.m. (hora del Pacífico), ante cientos de entusiastas fans que se darán cita en una de las avenidas más populares de la “Cenicienta del Pacífico”.
El tiempo límite oficial para que los equipos sean considerados finalistas oficiales será de 16 horas, en una temporada en la que SCORE International celebra su año 53 como líder mundial de las carreras fuera de camino, tras haber organizado eventos en México, Estados Unidos y Alemania.
REVISIÓN MECÁNICA
La revisión mecánica y de seguridad, así como la fila de contingencia de los vehículos de competencia por parte de los oficiales técnicos de SCORE, se llevará a cabo el viernes 11 de Septiembre de 2026 sobre el vibrante Bulevar Costero de Ensenada, que también será el escenario de la salida y meta del evento, a solamente unos pasos del Océano Pacífico.
YA SON MÁS DE 100 INSCRITOS
Con más de 180 equipos esperados en la línea de salida para continuar con las acciones de la temporada 53 de las carreras en el desierto de SCORE, hasta el momento se han recibido un total de 101 inscripciones tempranas para la “Baby Baja” de SCORE, con corredores representantes de 21 estados de los Estados Unidos y diez países.
Los países que cuentan hasta el momento con al menos un corredor inscrito son Estados Unidos, el territorio estadounidense de Puerto Rico, México como país anfitrión, Australia, Canadá, Dinamarca, Inglaterra, Alemania, Japón, Nueva Zelanda y Escocia.
DOBLE DÍGITO
Encabezando hasta el momento la lista de categorías con cifras de dos dígitos se encuentra SCORE Trophy Truck, con 24 inscritos en total —incluidos nueve en SCORE Trophy Truck 2WD, y cinco en SCORE Trophy Trucks Legend—, seguida por Trophy Truck Spec, con 23 registros, luego viene la Pro UTV Open con 11 equipos, y la Pro UTV FI cuenta con 9 inscritos.
Entre las motocicletas, la categoría Sportsman M/C cuenta con 5 equipos inscritos, y luego es el turno de la clase Pro Moto Unlimited con 3.
FECHAS LÍMITE DE INSCRIPCIÓN
La fecha límite para inscribirse y ser incluido a tiempo en el programa oficial del Día de Carrera de la SCORE Baja 400, así como en el programa de la carrera, será el lunes 31 de agosto a las 5 p.m. (hora del Pacífico).
Las posiciones de salida para las clases que no participarán en la calificación serán determinadas mediante un sorteo aleatorio, una vez que cierre el registro en línea de corredores.
Las inscripciones tardías podrán realizarse en persona en la oficina de SCORE en Ensenada hasta el viernes 4 de septiembre a las 5 p.m. (hora del Pacífico). Sin embargo, estos equipos no serán incluidos en el sorteo de posiciones de salida.
Los corredores que se inscriban de manera tardía y directamente en el lugar recibirán la siguiente posición de salida disponible dentro de la clase en la que se hayan registrado.

CALIFICACIÓN METHOD RACE WHEELS
Con un formato inspirado en la Fórmula 1 y la Serie NASCAR, SCORE llevará a cabo la Calificación Method Race Wheels el jueves 10 de septiembre de 2026, a partir de las 8:00 a.m. (hora del Pacífico), para definir el orden de salida en las siguientes clases: SCORE Trophy Truck, SCORE Trophy Truck 2WD, SCORE Trophy Truck Legend, Clase 1 y Trophy Truck Spec.
Las inscripciones recibidas después del viernes 28 de agosto recibirán las siguientes posiciones de salida disponibles dentro de cada categoría que participará en la calificación. El orden de participación en la calificación será determinado por SCORE con base en la fecha en que cada equipo complete su registro en línea.
La Calificación Method Race Wheels será un evento sin acceso para espectadores, que se llevará a cabo en una ruta ubicada dentro de una propiedad privada y será transmitida en vivo a través de las plataformas digitales de SCORE.
EL RETO POLARIS SCORE
Polaris Off-Road Vehicles y el equipo RZR Factory Racing presentan el Polaris SCORE Challenge, un programa de incentivos único en su tipo, creado para premiar la participación en las competencias de UTV de SCORE International. La iniciativa ofrece una bolsa de 50 mil dólares a cualquier corredor de UTV —sin importar el fabricante de su vehículo— que logre derrotar al equipo RZR Factory Racing y quedarse con la victoria Overall de UTV en la SCORE Baja 400. Si nadie logra reclamar el premio, el reto continuará en la SCORE Baja 1000, brindando a los competidores una nueva oportunidad de llevarse la bolsa.
El SCORE Challenge llega en un momento en el que el equipo RZR Factory Racing ha elevado a la categoría Pro UTV hasta convertirla en una de las más rápidas y competitivas de las carreras en el desierto. Al colocar a Brock Heger, Cayden MacCachren, Ethan Groom, Joe Terrana y Rodrigo Ampudia directamente en la mira de sus rivales, este desafío convierte a RZR Factory Racing en el equipo a vencer por todos los competidores.
REGISTRO DE PRENSA
Los medios de comunicación ya pueden registrarse para realizar la cobertura de la edición 7 de la SCORE Baja 400. El registro puede realizarse en la página de prensa de SCORE International, donde los interesados deberán llenar el formulario correspondiente para formar parte de la cobertura de la tercera fecha del Campeonato Mundial del Desierto 2026 de SCORE International.

La fecha límite para el registro en línea de los medios de comunicación que cubrirán la edición 7 de la SCORE Baja 400 será el viernes 4 de septiembre de 2026.
El Centro de Prensa de SCORE también contará con registro presencial en el Salón Rojo del Centro Social, Cívico y Cultural Riviera de Ensenada, el miércoles 9 de septiembre de 2026, de 1 p.m. a 7 p.m. (hora del Pacífico); el jueves 10 de septiembre, de 1 p.m. a 5 p.m. (hora del Pacífico); y el viernes 11 de septiembre, de 8 a.m. a 4 p.m. (hora del Pacífico).
